All
electrically operated equipments are designed for a
specific power supply voltage. if it deviates from
the designated voltage, the performance of the
equipment is affected. Both high & low voltage is
detrimental to the life of the equipment and results
in economic loss.
To protect
such equipments, from Voltage fluctuations SERVO
VOLTAGE REGULATOR corrects such fluctuations. It
is designed for Single phase (up to 200 KVA) and
three phase (up to 1000 KVA) for BALANCED /
UNBALANCED load, manufactured & tested as per
IS:9815
PRINCIPLE
OF OPERATION
Single
Phase : The output fluctuation of the line is
fed in to solid state error amplifier which
operates the servo motor. The voltage of the servo
stabilizer is compared with a built in reference
voltage source. the motor coupled to the variable
auto transformer increases / decreases the voltage
to primery of Torodial transformer. the Torodial
transformer adds / subtracts the voltage to mains so
that the output voltage remains with in the set
limits.
Three
Phase : These basically consists of three phase
units in one housing with completely independent
control circuits for each phase.
